Domestic Tourism Methodology: Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu
This project was funded by the Pacific Private Sector Development Initiative (PSDI) to develop recommendations for methodologies to measure domestic tourism in PNG and Vanuatu. Omineca's Anne Hardy worked alongside Professor Jospeh Cheer to complete this exciting project.

Tourism Tracer
Tourism Tracer is an award-winning research initiative that revolutionised the way visitor movement and behaviour are understood. This international project was led by Omineca Principal, Professor Anne Hardy, and used integrated GPS tracking and survey technology to track tourists through destinations, with their consent, in real-time. This resulted in world- first data on where, when, and how tourists travelled through destinations. Tourism Tracer provides unprecedented insights into tourist mobility, regional dispersal, and economic impact. Its data-driven approach has informed policy, marketing, and sustainable tourism planning across Australia and internationally.

Research Impact & Engagement Workshops
This series of workshops have been delivered to academics at the University of Tasmania, University of Queensland, and the University of Bergamo, Italy. They were desinged to assist researchers in enhancing knowledge transfer of their research, and to create impactful research projects. Topics included such as: engagement vs impact, designing impactful research, promoting research and working with the media. Expert Tertiary Program Reviews
Omineca has been involved in several strategic reviews and independant expert projects within the tertiary tourism sector in Australia. We have been lead reviews of research outputs for the Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) assessment scheme, as well the review and design of research programs and ethical research procedures.
